Romano`s Macaroni Grill in Albany

One of my favorite places to eat! Love that you can draw on the table cloths while you wait on your meal. As an adult, this is very rewarding! Bruschetta is always a must!! The waiters and waitresses are always really great and helpful, and always bringing more bread! I always find something new off the menu I end up loving.

Highly disappointed in the portion of the truffle fries ordered! And they left out utensils in our large order!

My family and have been going out to this restaurant for the past 20 years for birthdays or anniversary celebrations. Its a great place, great food and you really feel like at home. The waiters are nice, not pushy and the food is truly delicious. They have their own ovens and if you like pizza you get it done right then and there. The wine is good. Over the years prices have gone up, a dinner for three is over 100$ but it well worth it.

Very tasty home Italian kitchen, big enough portions of pasta, there is an ability to create your own pasta with a great variety of choices. The employers are very friendly, the waitress Kate is great! There is also an ability to book a table online, on a Saturday night it was not very crowded.

Great business lunch meeting place , we were next to the fireplace which was so nice on a cold winter day . Good wait staff, food was delicious.

The main entree last night was good, not great. The soup was lukewarm, our waiter seemed to be new and was easily overwhelmed. Restaurant wasn’t busy however bread, soup and dinner took way too long. Lastly, the floor in the ladies room was filthy, and was very messy with paper towels and pieces of toilet paper all over. (Toilet paper rolls weren’t inside the dispenser, they were placed on top of dispenser which is very unsanitary)Will not be returning

Server was great!!! But food was terrible, the general manager was terrible. This was worst Macaroni grill that I’ve ever been in. I would not send my dog in there to eat. The management staff was horrible.

Food and drinks are great. Bartender at the bar is awesome. Atmosphere is great as well. Surprised to find out it is a chain.

BEST MEAL EVER!!!Excellent atmosphere. Excellent service. And the food? WOW! The Shrimp Scampi was by far the best that I have ever had, including those from seafood only restaurants. The Lobster Bisque falls in that area as well. My better half had the Chicken Parmesan and I sampled it and it blew my mind. The coating was very tasty and had just the right amount of flavor, and the sauce was perfect. Not an overbearingly sweet sauce at all. And for dessert, I would recommend the Lemon Passion. Definitely going back again.

Just ate there today for the Thanksgiving 3 course meal. The food would have been good except for the fact that each item was cold. The soup-cold. The potatoes-cold. Turkey-cold. I only spoke up about the potatoes because I was afraid of someone putting something in my meal if I sent the whole plate back. The desert, which was pumpkin cheesecake would have been good also, except for the fact that was still frozen inside. The service and atmosphere were great though. I had really high hopes because I've heard great things about this restaurant. Very disappointed.

This place was nice, pleasant atmosphere, kind and helpful staff. Food was delicious and drinks were made well. The floors were super sticky, though, and the bathrooms weren't all that clean. Not what it used to be, according to someone I know that I went with who has been there as a customer for years. Overall fine experience, has better potential.

While food could be better, they allow private LOUD music at the tables. Well, I understand that some people need to " release the steam" ( as per Mayor of Baltimore, I would like a full disclosure before that there will be all kind of music at other tables.

Good food and great service. Food is well made and better than most chains. Good flavor and we'll prepared. Josh our server was fantastic. He was attentive, friendly and helpful. Exactly the comfort food and pleasant lunch we wanted. We had and completely enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip, mac & cheese, spaghetti & meatballs, tiramisu and decadent chocolate cake.

Food and wine dinner was terrible, service was slow. Other than the bread a pretty significant disappointment.

Food is average fair. Service is excellent and atmosphere is fantastic. Appropriate prices for your purchase. Decent wine selection and desserts.

Good food for a chain restaurant. Very nice staff and service. If u don't like spicy food be sure to ask them to tone it down, they are very accommodating.

Ordered from grub hub tonight. The order was over 50 dollars.The butternut tortellacci was $20, meatball side and lasagna. Grub hub was great but the food was horrible. Its was like the left over slop from last night's dinner. The tortellacci had 4 tiny pieces of butternut squash. There were 6 small tortellacci, the sauce tasted old and plain. The meatballs were plain meat with burnt sauce. The lasagna was like left over parts of a TV dinner slopped into a tray. The bread was even rock hard like something they had sitting out all day. If we had been served this in the restaurant I would have called the manager over and left. I don't even get to do that. I will never set foot in this place again due to the fact that they treat customers like this. We spent good money and got food from the garbage. Save yourself the grief and don't waste your time.

Great bar food and Cold Snap on tap!

One waitress on staff, she was very stressed however took our order, brought it and we really did not see her again. Flagged her down to ask for water 20 minutes later she brought the check and realized she forgot the water.I ordered the parmagian crusted chicken salad. Literally romaine lettuce and chicken cut to the size of a pencil eraser Shavings of cheese that was hard and completely tasteless. So disappointing.I will not return.

Honestly, my most recent experience here was absolutely disappointing. Due to the lack of friendliness, and the lack of selective portion of food (seasonal) was not acknowledged until food was ordered. I used to enjoy this location until this untold mystery.

Well, some of the food, Thanksgiving dinner, according to the two people who ordered it, was kinda cold and the turkey breast seemed to be out of a tin can. My fish, salads and side were good but small portions.

Went doe the first time. Nice atmosphere and decent space. Staff were friendly and attentive. Menu had a decent selection of Italian dishes. A bit on the pricier end and portions are decent but not huge. Bread style isn't ideal for a group. Food was OK. The service was good but in terms of food and price wasn't a top pick for me.

Brown/black basil, and beyond wilted greens in my caprese salad... and my basil tomato soup was parsley tomato soup... server was nice...but made no attempt to remake or remove the salad that was not eaten beyond 2 bites...first time to this location... and it will be our last...

My girl and I came here for dinner tonight and were thoroughly disappointed. The waitress who seated us drizzled some olive oil into a plate and promptly disappeared - we never got any bread or water to drink until another waitstaff appeared about 20 minutes later. By the time we got our food over an hour later, it was room temperature and dry. My pizza was room temperature with a rubber-like crust. Out empty water glasses went unrefilled, etc. They were not busy either - less than 1/2 filled with patrons. We will NEVER return to a Macaroni Grill after the failure we experienced tonight.

One of our favorite restaurants usually... food is great. However, service has gone down hill. Restaurant seems to be barely hanging on, doesn't have nearly the crowd it used to. Tonight, they ran out of the loaves of bread (one of the best parts of the restaurant!) and no one apparently thought to put more in the oven.

This place used to be a favorite for Italian food. These days it's nearly always empty, likely due to pricy pasta and chronically neglected restrooms (no towels, out of service equipment, etc). There are some good happy hour specials with a couple of craft beer choices worth checking out though. Service was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is classic and classy. Pasta was lukewarm with almost no sauce on my most recent visit. They really need to step up their game in this highly competitive market or the nearby Olive Garden will soon be the only local "Italian" option.

Beautiful spacious restaurant. Plenty of parking. I had the shrimp fettuccine. Good dish but the Alfredo sauce left me desiring more from it. It tasted like it came from a jar instead of from scratch. The shrimp and the fettuccine were great. The peach lemonade was delicious and smooth.

Wait staff pleasantly warm and inviting. Great place to enjoy your company over fine cuisine!

The food here was excellent, though the service my table received was rather slow. (The restaurant was mostly empty, so it wasn't because they were exceptionally busy.) The bread they give you when you are seated is crusty and delicious, although I should have asked if I could get some balsamic vinegar with the oil they provide for dipping. I ordered their signature macaroni and cheese with prosciutto on top, but I forgot to leave enough room to get a cannoli for dessert. It would be worth coming here for just dessert sometime. Don't forget to use the crayons provided to leave a thank you note on the table for your server!

Food was really good and our server Lisa was very nice. This was our first time here and we'll definitely be back.

Long wait for Appetizer ...wasnt overly busy....appetizer was not warm.... ordered mamas trio... also borderline warm... wife ordered lobster ravioli that was much better temperature and taste-wise....

They have an interesting menu and my meal was pretty good. The best part of my experience there was the server I had. She was very friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu. If you decide to go call ahead and ask for Brittany!

Always fantastic food and service

The spinach dip was great! Main entree was cold... Service was awful. I will not be eating here ever again. What a waste of money!!!

i would have gave zero but the server was good. All the food was horrible, the salad dressing was tasteless, the food was bland i got the spaghetti and meatballs with meat sauce and it was complete oily and greasy sauce. My girlfriends food was bland too made us both feel sick cause it was so gross plus the dinning room ceiling was falling down cause of leaks everywhere. The ceiling was literally crumbing above our table and ceiling tiles were sagging almost ready to fall. The only person who should come here is a health inspector.

The lobster bisque was wonderful. Very personable waitress. It’s always cute how they write their name on the paper covering the tablecloth. It was so fun to color with crayons all over the table while we chatted and waited for our food. A nice place to come with a group. Excellent food.

The mahi was very fishy so I didn't eat it. Had a cannoli for dessert and it was rather plain. The Chianti was good though and the server was attentive
